***SAFE 09/12/16*** DOG AND CHILD FRIENDLY MAMA IS BEING KILLED OVER A COLD! SHE NEEDS A RESCUE ANGEL TONIGHT! MAMA was dumped at the ACC by an owner who gave “personal problems” as their excuse. Well, we all have problems. But the one with the biggest problem now is MAMA, who will be heartlessly killed at noon Sunday without rescue. MAMA is AVERAGE rated, friendly and deserves to have a furever home. She was said to be good with a 6 yr old child and a dog. Her favorite activity was to play with the dog!! MAMA NEEDS RESCUE BY NOON – PLEASE CONTACT A RESCUE NOW SO SHE CAN HAVE THAT HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!

08/28/16 20:30 BASIC INFORMATION Mama is a white and brown tabby that is 6 years. The owner found Mama as a kitten. Since a kitten she has been part of the family. The owner is surrendering Mama because of personal problem. Mama has no known illness. SOCIALIZATION Mama is lived with a child that is 6 year old. Mama sometimes approaches to sniff but does not engage in play. When stranger come over the house she keeps to herself or goes to another room. Mama has never lived with other cats. But she has lived with a small dog and they engage in play and sometimes play chase around the house. BEHAVIOR Mama is very independent. She does not enjoy baths and tries to escape. She struggles having her nails trimmed. She only allows the owner to pick her up. She always uses her uncover litter box. She walks into her carrier with no problem. She has never bitten or scratched. But sometimes she scratches the leather sofa. FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW Mama is described as independent, mellow and sometimes affectionate. Mama enjoys playing with wands, strings and balls. Her favorite activity is to play chase with the dog and sleep. She sleeps anywhere in the house. Mama also enjoys looking out the window. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE During intake Mama was nervous. She did not come out of her carrier. When petted she hisses, growled and swat. She did not allow being collard, scanned and photographed.

Mama was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Mama was at the front of the kennel meowing and rubbing up against the door. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mama is vocal and continues to solicit attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Mama is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Mama rubs up against the assessor for attention and allows petting all over her body. She keeps her tail up, chirps when pet and leans in when rubbed on her cheeks. Reaction to being picked up: Mama is a bit tense when held and slowly relaxes in the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Average Mama interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
