***GONE 10/21/16*** 10 MONTH OLD MALI HAS A COLD AND WILL BE KILLED FOR IT!! MALI was brought into the shelter as a stray, so not much is known about his past. He did allow petting and handling and was just tense and nervous because of the shelter atmosphere. MALI got a good EXPERIENCE rating and will be just fine once in a safe happy home. MALI was healthy when he entered the ACC but as it goes, they gave him a cold and are going to kill him for it. PLEASE GIVE THIS SWEET TUXIE BOY A CHANCE FOR A HAPPILY EVER AFTER. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE MALI!!

10/11/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mali was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Mali was curled up with his body lowered at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mali focuses his attention on the assessor and doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Mali remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Mali lowers his head when the assessor extends his hand out and tries to avoid contact. His body is tense and he allows petting with a gentle approach then slowly moves away when he’s had enough. Reaction to being picked up: Mali is tense when picked up, then gets antsy and leaps away. Experience Mali may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
