EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam:mm pk, moist; CRT <2 sec; adult dentitia with no significant tartar/staining; fractured upper canine
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: eupnic, clear lung sounds, no murmurs/arrhythmias
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: female
MSI:
-RF: severe carpal swelling and malalignment, abnormal internal rotation of paw, suspect fracture, neurologically intact
-mild abrasion along lip at midline
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal:grossly normal
Assessment
1. R carpal fx, suspected
2. High rise trauma, suspected
3. Canine fracture
Prognosis:good
Plan:
-sedate with 0.2 ml dexdomitor/0.2 ml torb IM for radiographs
-simbadol 0.35 ml SQ SID x 5 days
-onsior 0.3 ml SQ SID x 3 days
SURGERY:temporary waiver due to trauma/fracture
