Lay in place when door opened, soft eyes and body. Leaned and arched into pets, extended neck for throat scratches, closed eyes. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Madison remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Madison remains in place, alert with soft eyes, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: Madison head bunts the assessor’s hand, purrs and appreciates the petting. Reaction to being picked up: She becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Madison interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
