KNOWN HISTORY: Baby was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Near-continuous growling, occasional hissing, attempts to flee, but never overtly aggressive. Could not get spay scar, Combo test, microchip. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 06/19/17 At front of kennel head-butting kennel door. Allows petting along his head and body, leaning in with tail raised and quivering. Remains calm when I pick her up. Kneads the air while being held. Doing great! EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Baby chirps then comes forward and rubs her entire body up against the cage door. Reaction when softly spoken to: Baby purrs loudly and continues soliciting attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Baby is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Baby rubs up against the assessor’s arm and purrs loudly when touched along her body. She nudges the assessor’s hand, gives soft head butts and appreciates attention. She occasionally whips around quickly and focuses on the assessor’s hand when rubbed on her lower back, but never displays any further reaction. Reaction to being picked up: She was a bit tense and tried to wiggle out of the assessor’s arms. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Affectionate, People Oriented, Social BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Baby interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Evidence of Cruelty seen – none Evidence of Trauma seen – none Objective BCS 8/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: mild tartar and gingivitis, missing incisors right maxillary quadrant PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; significant fat pad precludes abdominal palpation U/G: female; no discharge or staining noted; could not check for spay scar MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: Obese, nervous, otherwise healthy Plan: schedule for surgery in-house so can check for spay scar; Combo test/microchip at time of surgery Prognosis: excellent SURGERY: Okay for surgery
