***SAFE 08/03/17***TWO YEARS OLD…GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING!!! A volunteer writes: I think Luno has the summertime blues, and frankly I don’t blame him. This handsome, well-behaved boy was relinquished to the Care Center by his former family. They (adults and a 7-year-old child) described him in glowing terms: friendly, affectionate, playful, talkative, and litterbox trained. But that doesn’t take away the sting of being left behind, and that’s put Luno a little down in the dumps. When I met him the other day in the cat adoption room he was perfectly calm and alert, but he had squished himself tight in his cat loft and just didn’t feel like making friends. Considering that he did well on his behavior exam, I know he’s a very good boy who just needs his time to get his bearings. Be the one to help chunky tux Luno come out of his shell by adopting him today!

07/11/17 10:43 Basic Info: Luno (fka Luna) A1111640 is a male black & white DSH who was given to the owner as a gift 1yr 1/2 ago and is being surrendered due to him spraying and scratching on furniture. He’s never been to a veterinarian & currently has no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Luno is shy for a few minutes with strangers. He hasn’t been around other animals but was gentle, playful, relaxed/affectionate with the adults & a 7yr old in the home. Luno hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: During car rides Luno will be relaxed & or meow. He isn’t bothered with being placed into a carrier or being pet/held. Luno hasn’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting, bathed, brushed or had his nails trimmed. For a New Family to Know: Luno is described as friendly, affectionate, playfu & talkative at times with a medium activity level. When the owner is home Luno follows them around sometimes. He’s an indoor cat that sleeps around the home, climbs onto the fridge, the tv, the counters, scratches on the sofa (doesn’t have a scratching post), eats dry Friskies cat food 2-3x a day & uses an uncovered litter box with clumping/crystal litter within (but also sprays around the home including the 7yr old’s toys; he isn’t altered). Intake Behavior: Luno allowed all handling. He allowed to be scanned (-), collared & have his pictures taken. Luno didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held and was placed into a kennel with ease where he retreated to the back behind his litter box.
