08/10/17 12:28 Basic Information Luna is a four month old, white and black, female cat. She was surrendered with her brother, Sloan. Owner stated she got her when she was very little and had her for four months. Owner surrendered her due to health reasons. Luna has no signs of illness or injury. Socialization Luna is a shy cat around strangers–she retreats for a few minutes of meeting a stranger but gets comfortable afterwards. Luna lived and spent time an eight year old child and was relaxed, affectionate and respectful around him. She is gentle when he played with adults and children. She lived with and spent time with her brother and another male cat-she was relaxed and affectionate around her brother but aggressive around the other cat. Luna never bit a human or another animal. Behavior Luna occasionally scratched on furniture and rarely poops outside litter box. She enjoys when her coat is brushed; isn’t bothered if you bath her, trim her nails or put her in a carrier. She loves to be picked up and held and isn’t bothered if disturbed while sleeping. For a new Family to know Luna is a friendly, affectionate, mellow and shy cat with a medium energy. She is a lovely cat that loves to cuddle all the time with her brother and was kept mostly indoors. She stays in the same room with you and would jump on your lap when called. She slept on a large cat bed and was fed both dry and wet cat food twice daily. She is house/litter box trained and used a hooded litter box with crystal cat litter. Luna would occasionally scratch on her cat bed, furniture. Behavior during Intake Luna had a stiff posture during intake. She retreated to the back of the carrier and hissed slightly when picked up. She allowed to be collard and placed in a kennel.

5th day of erythromycin and doxycycline for presumed URI – littermate was sick. From the records, it looks like this kitten was never showing clinical signs of URI or conjunctivitis. Today, cat is showing signs of URI: some nasal discharge and cage marks from sneezing. KItten is BAR in kennel, eting canned food this morning. Okay to move back to isolation. Treatment Continue on Doxy 0.4 ml PO SID until 8/24 and re-exam 0933
