LUNA – A1077650
Safe - 6-27-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
***SAFE 06/27/16*** LUNA was found in the Finder’s back yard, roaming around with her kittens – SPECIAL K, CHEERIOS, CHARMS AND MINI WHEATS. The 7 week olds all are FeLV positive (CHEERIOS TESTED FAINT POSITIVE FELV), but ALL NEED TO BE RE-TESTED BEFORE A YEAR OLD! Mom LUNA can be publicly adopted, the little guys need a FOSTER and a New Hope rescue to pull them. Don’t let the kittens FeLV status scare you! Even if the FeLV status holds up, they can live with dogs, who cannot “catch” FeLV, or with other FeLV kitties. But if take this bunch, they are all the family you need! Don’t forget about mom LUNA, who is still nursing. All need a savior…all need a home!!!! ALL they need is YOU!

06/20/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
ur enrichment facilitator has interacted with Luna and at the time she was nervous. Luna tolerates petting with scratcher. She had a tense body lowered in litter box with wide eyes. Reaction to assessor: Luna does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Luna does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Luna appears nervous as eyes widen but she remains motionless Reaction to touch: Luna is tense and comfortable when touched Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Luna was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Becomes nervous as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. Although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
