*** SAFE 10/31/16 *** NO TIME FOR LOVELY, ZAFTIG LADY!!…..LULI is a mellow chubette who is already SPAYED!! After 11 years, she is separated from her owner because they say health problems prohibit them from caring for LULI….LULI is sad about this change of events, she is not eating and she is nervous and afraid. It’s important for overweight cats to eat and not lose weight to quickly. The ACC decided to solve that problem by listing LULI just 3 days after she arrived!! LULI IS A NICE CAT IN A BAD AND POSSIBLY FATAL CIRCUMSTANCE…..LULI has lived as a solo cat and is quiet, mellow and likes to be with you!….Her last vet visit was 2013 so she does need a vet check…..and a diet. Her owner said they kept her bowl filled and sadly LULI is now 22 lbs….GO ON A DIET TOGETHER AND APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT LULI NOW!!

10/23/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Luli’s previous owner reports she is friendly around strangers. She has never lived or spent time with children, but plays in a gentle manner with adults. She isn’t bothered when placed in a carrier or when disturbed while sleeping. She was described as friendly, affectionate, and mellow with a low activity level. She tends to follow the owner around at home. Reaction to assessor: Luli hisses when approached and appeared tense by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Luli crouches over and growls. Her eyes shift and dart around to look at her surroundings, alert. Reaction to cage door opening: Luli flinches with sounds from cage door and starts to growl louder. Reaction to touch: Luli hisses, but sniffs the assessor’s hand. She accepts gentle petting on her head, but continues to hiss and shifts away from contact. She does not display any further reaction, but appears extremely uncomfortable during the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Luli tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
