Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Lui continues to hide in his den (was hiding on approach) Reaction when softly spoken to: Lui continues to hide. Reaction to cage door opening: Lui becomes stiff and alert, and begins stress-meowing. Reaction to touch: Lui continues to hide, is immobile when touched, and stress-meows throughout the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experienced, no children. Lui tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
