Lucy is a 12 year old, black DSH female. She was spayed prior to coming into the shelter, and has no known health issues or injuries. She has not seen a vet recently, and was found as a stray at 2 months old and has been in her home since then. She was an owner surrender due to personal reasons for the owner.

Lucy is shy for a few minutes when first meeting new people. She needs a few minutes to warm up and will then come around.

Lucy has spent time around children and was affectionate and playful with them.

Lucy lived with her sister, Lacey, since birth and 1 other cat in the home. She was relaxed and affectionate with them.

Lucy is described as being friendly, affectionate and mellow. She likes to follow her owner around and sit on her lap at night. She likes to play with balls, string and wand toys, stuffed toys and chasing toys. She has been an indoor cat, and sleeps on her owners bed. She eats both wet and dry food, and is litter box trained using an uncovered box with clay litter. She uses a scratching post made from carpet and rope.

Lucy took a few minutes to come out of the carrier but was head butting counselor and purring. She enjoyed being pet but did try to flee when on the table. She was easily restrained and redirected.
