H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: female intact
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: pectus excavatum
Prognosis:fair. some live with this issue long term, some develop heart failure. anesthesia can be risky.
Plan:rads to assess defect. curative surgery possible, but would require skilled surgeon.
rads: heart pushed to the left, lungs pushed into two sections of chest.

Fiona was described as Shy and fearful. Fiona enjoyed playing with balls stuffed toys and chasing toys. Fiona appeared litter box trained and used and uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Fiona ate wet food twice a day. Fiona liked to scratch on a toy with a scratching post in the middle of it and possibly a shower curtain.
Behavior Notes:
During intake Fiona was quiet and tense. Fiona allowed minimal handling.
