08/05/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/05/17 12:49 Basic: Lucky is a medium sized female dsh. She is approximately 1 yr old. Her owner found her on the street about 2 weeks ago and took her in because she looked like she had a bad cold. She took her to the vet who put her on medication and Lucky got better. At the vet, Lucky tested positive for FeLV and her owner has two other cats and does not want to risk them getting sick. Socialization: Around strangers Lucky is shy for a few minutes but then is affectionate and friendly. She has lived with younger children in the home and sleeps in one of their rooms. She is relaxed and affectionate with them and allows them to handle her with no issues. She plays gently with adults and children. Because of her condition she was not allowed to interact with the other cats in the home, and when she was found, there were other cats in the vicinity but Lucky was not interacting with them so her behavior with other cats is unknown. She has not been around other pets. She does not have a bite history since being with her owner. Behavior: Her owner has had no issues with her behavior, she is well behaved. She enjoys car rides and has no issues using the litterbox. Lucky isn’t bothered when getting a bath, a nail trim, getting brushed, being held, being put in the carrier, or being disturbed. For New Family: Lucky is described as friendly, affectionate, mellow and quiet. Her activity level is low. Her owner likes how tolerant she is of handling and how calm she is. Lucky loves to be petted and get belly rubs. At home, Lucky will be in the same room as her owner or will be in her favorite spot which is inside her carrier with the door open. She sleeps in her carrier which is in her owner’s grandchild’s bedroom. She doesn’t have an interest in toys and has been kept mostly indoors. She eats wet food. She is litterbox trained and uses an uncovered litterbox with clumping litter. She does not scratch on anything. During intake Lucky was very calm and allowed me to pick her up and hold her. She had a calm relaxed body and would head butt her head into my hand and then lift her back when I petted her.
