Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Lucian and at the time he leaned in for rubs. Lucian allows petting all over. He was calm and relaxed. Lucian rolls over in litter box and appreciates attention. He was perfectly content in litter box. Doesn’t get up or come forward. Sweet.

Lucian was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Lucian is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
05/17/16 Tuesday (Day 1)
Curled up near the back of the kennel. Makes eye contact and leans forward to sniff hand. Brushes up against hand. A little nervous but relaxes when pet on body. Rolled over on side.
05/18/16 Wednesday (Day 2)
Rises up. Sniffs hand and leans forward. Allows petting all over. Tail at body level. Closes eyes. Appreciates attention. Got startled when someone came in the room.
Leans in for rubs, allows petting all over. Calm and relaxed. Rolls over in litter box. Appreciates attention. Perfectly content in litter box. Doesn’t get up or come forward. Sweet.
