08/05/17 13:15 Basic Information: Louise is a black and white DMH, estimated to be 9 months old. She was found as a stray with her sister. Her finder described her and very friendly and affectionate but also shy. She allowed her finder to pet her, would approach her finder and meow, allowed her finder to pick her up and hold her. When placed in a carrier she wasnt bothered. Behavior During intake: Louise had a low tense body and would attempted to jump from the table. She allowed me to pet her and would head-butt, chirp and purr. She arched her back when touched on her backside.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Sweet MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/6/17-Behavior: allowed all handling, friendly but quiet ENRICHMENT NOTES: 8/6/17- Initially in main compartment, grooming. Stood and retreated into cubby, behind litter box, on approach. Warmed up immensely when given treats, easily lured back out to main compartment. Leaned and arched into pets, purred, starting eating wet food. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Louise remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Louise lift up head, alert with soft eyes, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: Louise slowly leans into the assessor’s hand, purrs and appreciates the petting. Reaction to being picked up: She becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Louise interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
