Louie – A1102449 – 11 week male gray tabby:
Louie is a 3 month old gray tabby and white DSH with a possible Cold. Louie was found outside and allowed finder to play with him and feed him. Finder described Louie as playful and sweet. Louie appeared litter box trained. During intake Louie was calm. Louie allowed to be scanned and collared with a loose wiggly body. Louie enjoyed being pet and liked to play with the counselor.
MEDICAL:
BARH; friendly allowed full handling
Scan neg
EENT: Moderate mucoid nasal discharge bilaterally. Mild chemosis/blepharospasm/hyperemia OU. Decid dentition.
H/L auscult WNL; eupneic
Abd SNP/NMP – mildly distended
MI – 2 testes descended
Amb x4; BCS 5/9
GHC no ectos
A: 2.5 mo MI DSH
URI
P:
Begin doxycycline (50 mg/ml) 0.25 ml PO SID x 10 days
Terramycin OU BID x 5 days
Recheck 5 days, 10 days
Keep in ISO while at BACC
Reco placement or foster during treatment of URI
Prognosis excellent with treatment
