Intake condition EXAM REQ Intake Date05/11/2016, From NY 11207, DueOut Date05/11/2016, I came in with Group/Litter #K16-056969
Upon intake Los Angeles attempt to flee but showed no signs of aggression. She scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.
Los Angeles was being monitored by the enrichment facilitator and reports that she was wary of her surroundings and was curled up in her litter box stress meowing when she first arrived. She allows petting all over and lightly head butts the enrichment facilitator’s hand seeking attention. Los Angeles is very affectionate and has become very social during her stay here.
Reaction to assessor: Los Angeles is calm and relaxed near the front of the kennel.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Los Angeles meows softly then comes to the front seeking attention.
Reaction to cage door opening: Los Angeles is calm and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Los Angeles sniffs the assessor’s hand and lightly head butts. She brushes up against the assessor and allows petting all over. Her tail is up and she starts purring as you give her rubs.
Reaction to being picked up: Los Angeles is a bit tense and cries out to be placed down. She comes back to the front and seeks attention when placed down.
Behavior Determination: Experience
Los Angeles interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
05/12/16 Thursday (Day 1)
Curled up in litter box, stress meows as you approach. Sniffs hand and allows petting. Warms up quickly. Brushes up against hand and allows petting all over. Tail rises. Enjoys treats.
05/16/16 Monday (Day 2)
Wakes up, stretches and meows softly. Comes forward and head butts my hand. Very affectionate, tail up. Allows petting all over. Becomes tense when held, leaps away. Soft body when pet, cuddles up next time me and plops down.
05/17/16 Tuesday (Day 3)
Very affectionate, comes forward to greet. Brushes up against hand and head butts. Allows petting all over, tail up. Super sweet. Meows softly and starts purring when pet.
05/18/16 Wednesday (Day 4)
Super sweet, comes forward and allows petting all over. Meows softly when pet, doesn’t stop showing affection. Raises rear up. Tense when held, more confident on the ground. Loves treats.
05/19/16 Thursday (Day 5)
Meows and greets at the front. Soft body when pet, very affectionate. Tail up. Rolled over on side. Becomes tense and uncomfortable when held. Feel confident inside kennel.
05/23/16 Monday (Day 6)
Super sweet, calm and relaxed. Sniffs hand and rubs up for attention. Very affectionate. Tense when held. Rolls around in kennel, nuzzles in arms.
