*** SAFE 03/02/16 *** LOVELY LITTLE LORIS IS A PERFECTLY HEALTHY 9 MONTH OLD KITTEN WHO IS SHY AND WARY OF THE ACC ENVIRONMENT – AND FOR THAT THEY HAVE DECIDED SHE IS TO DIE ON MONDAY! LORIS didn’t ask to be brought into the shelter. She was brought in with another cat in the same carrier. LORIS did allow all handling and petting but because she was tense and not a social butterfly they gave her an EXPERIENCE rating and shoved her on tonight’s list. LORIS is such a cutie pie and she would do just fine in a home where she is loved. WHY NOT GIVE LORIS A FREEDOM RIDE AND CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY! FOR RESCUE INFO EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected]

02/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Loris and at the time she was at the back tense but allows touch. Loris will slowly come forward to explore but is wary of environment. Reaction to assessor: Loris does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Loris does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Loris remains motionless Reaction to touch: Loris allows petting with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Loris is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Loris was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
