Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Loops. At the time he was lip licking and had a low body but warms up when touched. Loops starts to head butts, raises body up and solicits attention. Loops also rolls over playfully.
Reaction to assessor: Loops does not come to front but looks at you relaxed and friendly
When spoken quietly: Loops comes to the front of cage soliciting attention
Reaction to door cage opening: Loops remains soft and relaxed
Reaction to touch: Loops solicits petting and attention
Try picking cat up: Loops is tolerant of this type of handling
Behavior Determination: Beginner
At the time of the assessment Loops was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Loops is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
04/18/16 Monday (Day 1)
Nervous at the back. Body low. Tense. Sniffs hand and comes forward slowly. Allows petting all over. Lip licks.
04/19/16 Tuesday (Day 2)
Lip licks, eye contact. body low. Warms up when touched. Head butts. Raises body up. Solicits attention. Rolls over playfully.
04/20/16 Wednesday (Day 3)
At the front, sniffs hand. Allows petting. Tail lowered. Slow movements at first. Solicits attention. Rolls around, doing fine.
