5/15/17- Crouched in middle of cage, a bit wary, eyes dilated. Brief hesitation, then leaned and arched into pets. Remained a bit tense, started retreating while still leaning into pets.

Seems really uncomfortable today. In litter box on approach, eyes dilated, stiff posture. Tolerated pets on body, repeatedly flinched and fled around kennel to avoid being touched on head.

Reaction to assessor: Lolo looks neutral lying down turned sideways at the back.
Reaction to cage door opening: Lolo remains immobile with eyes wide open.
Reaction to touch: Lolo at first, leans away from the assessor’s hand, but when touched he stiffens up then slowly kneads while accepting chin rubs.
Reaction to being picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage.
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:
Lolo may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home.
We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
Profile:
Basic Info:
Lolo A1111321 is a male gray & white DSH who was given to the owner as a gift 3yrs ago and is being surrendered due to the owner moving to where pets aren’t allowed. Hey was last seen by a vet 2yrs ago currently has no known health issues/injuries.
Socialization:
Lolo is shy for a few minutes with strangers. He hasn’t been around children or other animals but was gentle, playful, relaxed/affectionate with the adults in the home. Lolo hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal.
Behavior:
During car rides Lolo will meow or be relaxed. He isn’t bothered by the following: being brushed, bathed or being put into a carrier. Lolo hasn’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting or had his nails trimmed.
For a New Family to Know:
Lolo is described as friendly, affectionate, playful (at times) & quiet with medium activity level. When the owner is home Lolo follows them around. He’s an indoor cat that sleeps around the home, eats dry Friskies cat food 2-3x a day, uses a hooded litter box with clumping litter within and uses a carpeted/rope scratching post.
Intake Behavior:
Lolo had a soft body, eyes and allowed all handling. He allowed to be scanned (-), collared & have his pictures taken. Lolo will curl into a semi ball in your arms (like a baby being carried). Lolo didn’t seem to mind being picked up at all and was placed into a kennel with ease.
