***SAFE 03/07/16*** MEOWING AND PURRING BEGINNER RATED LOLITA CAME INTO THE SHELTER AS A PREGNANT CAT AND WAS SPAY ABORTED – TONIGHT THE ACC HAS RATED HER MEDICAL AS 4C WITH NO EXPLANATION AND PUT HER ON THE LIST TO DIE AT NOON MONDAY!! Poor LOLITA came into the ACC in her third trimester of pregnancy – and they performed a cruel spay abortion on her, killing all the kittens! Now, this sweet affectionate BEGINNER girl is sitting on the euth list and we are all wondering WHY?? LOLITA is only about 3 years old and was nuzzling the counselor’s hands and soaking up all the attention and petting she could get. After all they put this sweet cat through, she deserves a chance to live and have a happy ending to her story. Reaction to assessor: Lolita was to the front of the cage meowing loudy and purring at the assessor When spoken quietly: Lolita stays at front and continues soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: Lolita remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: Lolita solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Lolita is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Lolita was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Lolita is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
