Hello, my name is Lola. My animal id is #12258. I am a female brown tabby cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 1 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 10-Nov-2017.
Lola is at risk for medical reasons. Lola has contracted Upper Respiratory Infection, which is contagious to other cats. Lola’s behavior has been assessed as making her suitable for beginner homes.

No History : Surrendered because of family dynamics Subjective: BAR Hydr wnl Observed Behavior – very easy to examine, nohising, growling, etc Evidence of Cruelty seen – none observed Evidence of Trauma seen – none observed Objective T = 102.3 P = 160 R = wnl BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: nsf PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: no spay scar or tattoo visualized after abd clipped MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: appears healthy Prognosis:good Plan: no tx indicated at this time SURGERY: Okay for surgery
Pre-spay exam Pt has mild mucoid discharge OS and moderate epiphora OD. No nasal discharge. Cancel sx for tomorrow. Move to isolation, start erythromycin OU BID x10 days, monitor for nasal discharge. 1088

Behavior Condition: 1. Green
Upon intake, Lola was in a crouched position and slow blinking. Lola appreciated petting and allowed all handling.
Basic Information:: Lola came in to MACC as a stray so the information on her is very limited.
How is this cat around strangers?: Lola is sweet and affectionate around strangers.
For a New Family to Know: Lola is fed Meow Mix dry food.
KNOWN HISTORY:: Lola was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on their behavior history or tendencies in a home environment. Her finders report she is sweet and affectionate around strangers. Upon intake, Lola was in a crouched position and slow blinking. Lola appreciated petting and allowed all handling.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior – very easy to examine, no hissing, growling, etc.
Cage Condition:: Cage is slightly re-arranged
Reaction to assessor:: Lola approaches the front and appeared curious; she reaches out with her paw.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Lola rubs against the door, soliciting attention. She meows for attention and can be heard purring.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Lola greets the assessor by the opening.
Reaction to touch:: Lola attempts to explore outside her kennel, but she accepts petting and leans in. She continues to purr and rubs against the assessor with her head.
Reaction to being picked up:: Lola remains soft and continues to purr.
