LITTLE GIRL – A1075200
Gone - 6-12-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 06/12/16*** SAD AND UNBELIEVABLE! Sweet LITTLE GIRL was born into the household who cruelly betrayed her after TWELVE YEARS of love and loyalty. That’s right, they spayed this little girl and that was probably the ONE time LITTLE GIRL had left home, until someone randomly decided to be “allergic” to her on May 26th. “I believe in those allergies wholeheartedly,” said no one ever, after reading Little Girl’s shelter notes. This exquisite lady earned LOVING volunteer comments and will die tomorrow, if no one steps up to foster or adopt her, tonight! “A volunteer writes: Stunned. Stunned! That’s how sweet tiger senior Little Girl feels about losing her home and finding herself at the Care Center due to her former owner’s allergies. Despite having her world turned upside down, this green-eyed beauty is doing well adjusting to the cat adoption room. She’s a bit stand-offish sometimes, but she enjoys when volunteers talk softly to her and treat her to pettings. She reveals a calm, friendly, gentle personality, which is how her previous owner described her to us. Little Girl lived with another cat and got on well with her, and she has no litterbox issues, per her former family. Be the one to show Little Girl what loyalty really is by signing her adoption papers today.”

05/26/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/26/16 13:34 Owners surrendered little girl due to allergies. they stated that she has never been out of the house so she will be fearful. The three possible outcomes of surrender were explained to owners. Little girl was nervous during her intake and attempted to flee while being collared so the councilor gave her time to acclimate before attempting again due to this being her first time out of her house. Little girl does not encounter strangers often in her home but when she does she’s very shy and will not approach a stranger but does acclimate to them after a few days. She is gentle, friendly, shy and playful in personality. She has not spent time around children. She has never left the house, she was born at home and the only other cat she has interacted with was her mother. They got along well. When the owners took Little girl out of the house for the first time she was very nervous but isnt a super vocal cat. She is 100% litter trained. She uses non clumping litter. She isn’t bothered by being groomed by her owners but she does not like being put into a carrier. Little Girl has a medium activity level while at home. She is an indoor cat and is fed Purina Naturals Dry food two times a day.

05/29/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Little Girl’s previous owner reports she does not encounter strangers often, but when she does she is very shy and will not approach them. After a few days, she will acclimate to them. She is gentle, friendly, shy, and playful in personality. Reaction to assessor: Little Girl was hiding under her blanket upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Little Girl looks at the assessor and blinks. Reaction to cage door opening: Little Girl remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Little Girl was hesitant of touch, but remains immobile and allows petting. Her eyes soften when petted and she appears to warm up slightly. She lip licks, blinks, but leans slightly in petting when touched on her cheeks. Behavior Determination: Experience Little Girl tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents who will allow her time to warm up at her own pace. Because she is so shy, she may be intimidated by small children, so any future home with young children should conduct a thorough interaction.
