KNOWN HISTORY:
Lioness’s previous owner reports is friendly and outgoing with strangers. She will approach and rub against gusts legs. She has lived with young children and is relaxed and respectful around them. She plays gentle with both adults and children, and has not spent time with other cats or dogs. Lioness is friendly, affectionate, and playful with a medium activity level. Lioness likes to follow her family around and by in the same room as them. She likes to play with balls, wand toys and laser pointers, and has been an indoor cat. She sleeps wherever and eats both wet and dry food. She is litter box trained using a hooded box and crystal litter.

Lioness continues to look at the assessor before she rubs her cheeks against her litter box.

Lioness sniffs the assessor’s hand and accepts petting. She warms up and approaches the front, rubs her head and body against the assessor, and begins to purr.
Reaction to being picked up:
Lioness remains soft and allows handling. After a moment, she wiggles to be placed back down.

S/O: Cat is QAR/depressed in condo, perks up when taken out. Food looks untouched in condo, but cat did seem interested in a/d when offered. Diarrhea with frank blood and mucous noted in condo. No obvious ocular or nasal discharge. NSF on abdominal palpation.
A: Diarrhea, Inappetence/Anorexia DDx: Stress, Intestinal parasites, Early URI, Open
P: Gave 100 mLs LRS SQ. Also gave 0.5 mLs Cerenia and 0.25 mLs Famotidine, both SQ. Start Metronidazole 100mg/mL – 0.6 mLs PO q12h x 5d. Continue to monitor for diarrhea/anorexia/URI.
