Hello, my name is Levi. My animal id is #12854. I am a female brown kitten at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 10 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 16-Nov-2017.
Levi is at risk due to medical concerns. Levi has ringworm, which is contagious to both other animals and people. Levi’s litter-mate Angelo is at risk for the same reason.

[LVT Intake Exam] Litter total of 3 semi feral kittens Microchip Scan: negative, placed 981020021196637 Evidence of Cruelty: no Observed Behavior: tense and shrinks away from touch, hisses and yowls when touched, will actively resist handling Sex: intact female Estimated Age: appx 3m Subjective: found abandoned in a carrier, visible flea infestation, dirty haircoat Eyes: clear Ears: clean Oral Exam: pale mm, deciduous Heart: WNL Lungs: WNL Abdomen: WNL Musculoskeletal: WNL BCS 5/9 Mentation: BARH Preliminary Assessment: seemingly healthy kittens with parasitism Plan: DVM intake
DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 10-12 weeks based on weight and dentition Microchip noted on Intake? Scanned neg on intake History : Stray, came in with 2 littermates. One littermate has lesions on his ears that are not fluorescing. Subjective: Alert, timid Observed Behavior – Eyes wide, tense, trembling. Allows all handling. Objective BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 5/9 EENT: Geometric patch of alopecia on nose. Regions of thin fur on the forehead and neck. Mild epiphora OU but eyes clear. Ears clean. No nasal or ocular discharge noted. Oral Exam: Deciduous teeth only. PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Male intact MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: Normal externally Wood’s lamp – noted lesions are all positive! Assessment: Ringworm highly likely Prognosis: Good with treatment Plan: 1. DTM culture tonight 2. Lime sulfur dips twice weekly until two negative DTMs are obtained 3. Itrafungol 0.6 ml PO SID x21 days SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to ringworm. 1088

KNOWN HISTORY:: Levi was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior – Eyes wide, tense, trembling. Allows all handling.
Cage Condition:: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor:: Levi remains crouched position on her cage bedding.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Levi remains immobile in place, alert with eyes wide open.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Levi stiffens up, ears erect and forward.
Reaction to touch:: Levi is hesitant, but accepts the touch and shows no interest with the interaction.

VOCAL:: Quiet
