Basic Information: Delilah came in with her sister Leticia. They are both 1yr and 4 months and were bred at home and kept in the same home since they were first born. Unfortunately they were surrendered due to lack of supplies and time. They have no record of ever gong to the vet.
Socialization: Around strangers and children of all ages they are both described as relaxed, playful and respectful and play gentle with both adults and children. They have been socialized with other cats and are relaxed, respectful and also play gentle. They have never been socialized with dogs and have no record of ever biting another animal or person.
Behavior: Delilah will meow a lot for attention and when they are both hungry they will scratch on your door to let you know that they need food. They are both afraid of loud noises and will hide in fear and during car rides they will meow during the entire ride. During bath time Leticia will attempt to flee while Delilah will struggle and swat at you. They have never gotten their nails trimmened and enjoy having thei fur brushed, being picked up and held and are unbothered when they are disturbed while resting. They however do not like being placed in carriers and will struggle and swat when attempting to be put in a carrier.
For a New Family to Know: Delilah is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, assertive, independent, shy and talkative while Leticia is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, shy, independent and talkative. They have medium activity levels, love playing with balls, strings and laser pointers and will follow you around when home with you. They enjoy sleeping on furniture, eat both wet and dry food Meow mix 2-3x a day, are considered litter box trained, prefer uncovered litter boxes with pellet litter and enjoy scratching posts made of smooth wood.
Intake: Upon intake Delilah and Leticia allowed most handling and being collared. They began to his and growl when counselor attempted to put in carrier and struggled to be placed inside.
