***SAFE 10/26/16*** LENNON IS FIV POSITIVE, NEUTERED AND STRAY? This sounds like a lost or abandoned cat. Sadly nobody claimed LENNON when he was brought in, so now we have a cat who needs a home and NOW! His fear has branded him with a RESCUE ONLY rating. And don’t be afraid of FiV! It’s certainly something a cat can live with AND for a very long life! FIV cats can live with NON-FIV CATS just fine! What LENNON CANNOT LIVE WITH IS THE ACC BREATHING DOWN HIS NECK! He needs a New Hope rescue and you to pull him to safety by noon! Contact a New Hope rescue… NOW! Get your application in early…the ACC won’t wait on late approvals…they will kill FIRST!
My name is LENNON. My Animal ID # is A1094193.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lennon was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in a previous home. Reaction to assessor: Lennon was at the back of the kennel, lying on his blanket with tense body posture, ears flat and forward. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lennon avoided eye contact and remained in the same position, motionless Reaction to cage door opening: Lennon remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Lennon remained immobile and in a location that could not be easily reached, avoided any attempts to touch. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Lennon is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
