I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/28/2017 from NY 10458, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

06/28/17 19:25 Legolis is a DSH who was found in a store’s ceiling. He allowed herself to be rescued and was calm in the car ride while on finder’s lap. Legolis is wiggly but allowed all handling for scanning and photograph.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Sweet MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 6/29/17- Subjective: Quiet, sits still and allows all handling EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Legolas immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Legolas remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Legolas head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Legolas interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.

DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: Estimated 4-6 months based on dentition and overall size Microchip noted on Intake? Scanned negative History : Found in a ceiling Subjective: Quiet, sits still and allows all handling Objective BCS 3/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: Moderate brown discharge AU. Eyes clear, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: Clean adult teeth PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Male intact, testicles S/S MSI: Multiple large (2-4 cm long) patches of alopecia, slightly thickened skin and crusting noted – on forehead, right side of neck/shoulder, right elbow, right hind leg. No discharge or erythema from any lesions. No lesions to the feet, ears or muzzle. Ambulatory x 4, no masses noted. CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Wood’s lamp – no fluorescence Assessment: 1. Likely ear mites 2. Multiple regions of alopecia and crusting – more likely to be wounds due to trauma, although ringworm cannot be ruled out. DTM culture is running but the risk is low enough that the ringworm sign can be pulled from the kennel. 3. Underweight Plan: 1. Clean ears today, start Tresaderm AU BID x10 days 2. Monitor wound healing – no tx needed at this time 3. Monitor weight gain Prognosis: Good SURGERY: Okay for surgery 1088
