***SAFE 10/24/16 *** CHULETA & LECHE NEED SOME TLC TONIGHT!!…2 years old and 8 months old this duo needs someone who will give them the time to feel safe, secure and comfortable. We all know that the ACC doesn’t give cats the time that a lot of them need. That’s why we ask every nite for people to FOSTER so cats like CHULETA & LECHE can acclimate and find loving homes!! Both of them are publicly adoptable or can be reserved through a rescue!! DON’T PASS THEM BY!! A little time is all it takes!! If you need assistance, email us at [email protected]

10/19/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Leche was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Leche was curled up at the front of the kennel then turns towards the assessor and meows softly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Leche seems unsure and slowly leans forward then gently brushes up against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Leche’s eye widens, becomes alert then takes a step back. Reaction to touch: Leche seems unsure of contact but slowly leans forward to sniffs the assessor’s hand. He closes his eyes and leans in when rubbed on his head and cheeks. His body feels a bit tense and he becomes very focused when the assessor pets him along his body. Leche’s ears bend flat, gets uncomfortable and whips around when touched on his back. Behavior Determination: Experience No Children Leche tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
