***SAFE 07/18/16*** ULTIMATE BETRAYAL! LEAH WANDERED INTO SOMEONE’S YARD AND ALLOWED HERSELF TO BE PICKED UP – AND ENDED UP AT THE ACC!! LEAH is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! But she is also POSSIBLY PREGNANT. We say “possibly” because the ACC is not able to tell for sure – which is typical for them. LEAH needs a hero tonight to get her to safety. She was only looking for someone to most likely take her in, but this person discarded her at the ACC instead. Now LEAH, even though she is a healthy cat, will die for no reason at all! CAN SOMEONE FOSTER OR ADOPT THIS PRETTY TUXIE GIRL? EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO.

07/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Leah was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Leah was resting at the back of the kennel in her litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Leah slow blinks at the assessor and rubs her head against the litter box. Reaction to cage door opening: Leah is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Leah meows softly as you approach her, leans in for rubs and allows petting on her head. When touched along her back she whips around quickly and hisses with wide eyes focused on the assessor. Behavior Determination: Experience No Children Leah tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
