I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/28/2017 from NY 10467, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K17-109378.

KNOWN HISTORY: Lannister was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on his behavior history of tendencies in a home environment. He was receptive to all handling during the intake process. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – A little timid, but allows full exam and treatment with minimal restraint. ENRICHMENT NOTES: Older kitten. Curled up with sibling in cubby, dozing. Woke when door opened. Lay in place, allowed all pets, looked around. Still very sleepy. Started to explore cage after door closed. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Lannister was lying down next to his sibling, calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lannister looks at the assessor and then places his head down to rest. Reaction to cage door opening: Lannister becomes alert and sits upright. Reaction to touch: Lannister was hesitant and lowers his body, but he accepts petting and relaxes. He allows all petting and begins to purr, slowly leaning in for more attention. Reaction to being picked up: Lannister is a bit tense during pick up, but remains soft when held. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Sweet, Affectionate BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Lannister interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
