**SAFE 08/26/16** DECLAWED! STAFF FAVE! DOG AND CAT FRIENDLY! BEGINNER RATED! Is there nothing super-fantastic LADYBUG can’t do? Well, unfortunately, she can’t check herself out of the murderous ACC, so unless someone saves her life tonight, this excellent 10-year-old SWEETHEART will be killed during lunchtime, tomorrow. Check out the love note written about her by an ACC staff member! “A staff member writes: Lady Bug is easily one of the staff favorites! This lovely senior lady sashays right to the front of her kennel for some attention and love as soon as you open her kennel. In between being loved on, Lady Bug keeps herseld plenty busy, throwing her catnip pillow around her kennel and chirping her little heart out. Age is just a number to Lady Bug, nothing is going to slow her down!” Please find a FOSTER or ADOPTER for LADYBUG tonight!

07/24/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lady Bug’s previous owner reports she is very good around strangers of all ages. She has lived in a home with one other dog and one other cat. She did not have any issues with the other animals, and mostly avoided them. She doesn’t mind being held and has a low-medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Lady Bug was calm and relaxed by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lady Bug looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Lady Bug remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Lady Bug head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. She starts to knead and is super affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Lady Bug remains calm and purrs when held. Lady Bug’s previous owner reports she was eliminating outside the litter box. We are unaware of what, if any, modifications steps were taken to try and address this behavior in the home, so we cannot be sure what the trigger may have been or if this behavior may continue in a future home. Please note as well that Lady Bug’s previous living situation may have contributed to the behavior seen (her only litter box was located in the basement of a large home). However, we recommend that potential adopters be comfortable with management and modification techniques for elimination outside the litter box should this behavior continue in a home environment. We also recommend that Lady Bug be provided with numerous litterboxes throughout the house as she adjusts to her new living space. The extra boxes can be removed as she learns the space and successfully eliminates in her main litterbox(es). Behavior Determination: Beginner Lady Bug interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
