Prognosis: very good
Plan: long term if p tolerates rec brush teeth at home every other day with cat toothpaste/brush for oral health
SURGERY: Okay for surgery
KNOWN HISTORY: The former owner stated Kyro has lived with two teenagers and litter mate. Kyro is very friendly around strangers. He is relaxed and respectful around children, she plays gently with them. Also, described her as very playful, the owner’s favorite thing about her is how she acts like a dog
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Subjective: gentle, allows all handling
ENRICHMENT NOTES: Curled up behind litter box, eyes a bit dilated, likely startled by alarm. Sat up when door opened, ate offered treats. Ignored me while eating, then leaned into pets and purred when finished.
Cage Condition: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor: Kyro remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding during the approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Kyro shows interest, meows attention.
Reaction to cage door opening: Kyro engages the front with a soft body posture, normal shape eyes, ears erect and forward.
Reaction to touch: Kyro leans into the assessor’s hand with tail up, purrs during the touch and appreciates the petting.
Reaction to being picked up: She becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage.
