**SAFE 06/08/16** SECOND CHANCE FOR A KITTY WHO IS IN GREAT PAIN! KYLE HAS A HURT LEG WITH A GREAT PROGNOSIS, BUT IS IN DANGER OF BEING KILLED BEFORE HE’S CURED! KYLE is a ”rescue only” cat which means one must go through a rescue to foster or adopt him. He did initially allow petting but is in so much pain that this is causing him to be hissy and swatty. KYLE is only two, and with some patience, love and kindness would probably do really well. Please offer to foster or adopt KYLE, he’s on a crowded list tonight and without your help could die. Don’t allow him to be killed tomorrow, having endured an extra day of pain and confusion within a tiny cell at the squalid ACC. MAKE THIS SECOND CHANCE COUNT and SAVE KYLE NOW!

06/05/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Please note that Kyle is being treated for a wound so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves. Reaction to assessor: Kyle was hiding within his feral den. Reaction when spoken to softly: Kyle makes eye contact within the feral den but doesn’t come out. Reaction to door cage opening: Kyle remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Kyle tolerates petting briefly then attempts to swat. He looks around the kennel, shifts away from contact and attempts to flee. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Kyle is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat and is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
