I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 07/09/2017 from NY 10472, owner surrender reason stated was TOO MANY P. I came in with Group/Litter #K17-103660.

Hx: Arrived at ACC on 7/9/17 and diagnosed with URI at that time. Today – day 5 of tx – pt is BAR, walking around kennel, rubbing on the door. She has had a good appetite for the last 3 days. No nasal or ocular discharge. Okay to move out of isolation! 1088

07/09/17 13:02 Basic Info: Koko A1117945 is a young female gray tabby & white DSH who was born in the home and is being surrendered along with her siblings Rome A1117946 and Belize A1117947 due to too many pets. They haven’t been seen by a vet have currently have no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Koko is friendly/outgoing with strangers. She hasn’t been around dogs but was gentle, playful, relaxed/affectionate with the other cats, an 8yr old & the adults in the home. Koko hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: During car rides Koko will meow or be relaxed. She isn’t bothered by the following: being brushed, bathed or being put into a carrier. Koko hasn’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting or had her nails trimmed. Koko scratches on furniture and doesn’t have a scratching post due to her and the other cats destroying the carpeted one they had. For a New Family to Know: Koko is described as friendly, affectionate, playful & talkative with medium activity level. When the owner is home Koko follows them around. She’s an indoor cat who sleeps around the home, eats dry & canned Merrick cat food 2-3x a day and uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter within. Intake Behavior: Koko allowed all handling. She had a soft body, eyes and allowed to be scanned (-), collared & have her pictures taken. Koko didn’t seem to mind being picked up at all and was placed into a carrier for transport with ease.

ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/10/17- Resting towards back, soft eyes and body, seems a little lethargic. Allowed and leaned slightly into pets, ate a few treats, too sleepy to get up. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Koko immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Koko remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Koko head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Koko interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
