Kody A1114916 – 2 yr. male long-haired gray/white cat, stray:
Kody was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home.
Very sweet, kneading during exam, full exam with no resistance
Lying in back of kennel with a relaxed body. He allows petting along his head and body, reaching out towards my arm with a soft paw, fingers stretched. Silly. Doing well after first day!
Cage Condition: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor: Kody was relaxed and eating his food at the front of the kennel.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Kody sniffs the assessor then gently rubs his entire body against the cage door.
Reaction to cage door opening: Kody is calm and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Kody sniffs the assessor’s hand and purrs softly when pet along his body. He appreciates attention, nuzzles up against the assessor and is very affectionate.
Reaction to being picked up: Kody was a bit tense when picked up but allowed all handling.

MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, matted haircoat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
SURGERY: Okay for surgery
