***SAFE 10/01/16***KODY WAS BROUGHT IN AS A STRAY…ASIDE FROM BEING SCARED OUT OF HIS MIND, HES HEALTHY AND HAS NO BUSINESS EVEN BEING THERE! KODY is just 3 years old and of course he’s swatting…who would want to be locked in a tiny cage and knowing they will die in less than 24 hours!! He needs a FOSTER OR ADOPTER to get him out of this place so he can decompress and go back to being lovable KODY!

09/23/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Kody was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Kody was pressed up against the back wall of the kennel Reaction when softly spoken to: Kody lip licks and squints at the assessor with his tail curled up at his side. Reaction to cage door opening: Kody remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Kody closes his eyes upon approach and tolerates petting with a very slow approach. His eyes become fixated on the assessor’s movements and he has a tense/ stiff body when touched. He slowly turns his head away and tries to avoid eye contact. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Kody tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
