***SAFE 09/07/16*** OWNER DIED AND NOW HIS CAT KOCIATKO WILL DIE TOO!! How sad for this sweet 5 year old house pantherette! Her owner died and nobody wanted to take her. KOCIATKO is already spayed and she has a wonderful AVERAGE rating. She was said to be a quiet, mellow cat who liked to play with stuffed toys. KOCIATKO caught the horrid shelter germs and now she is being punished for it. This gorgeous girl deserves a happy ending to he story. 08/21/16 14:30 Basic Information: Kociatko is an eight year old domestic short hair cay who was surrendered due to her previous owner passing away. Socialization: Around strangers Kociatko is shy for a couple of days and plays gently with adults. Kociatko has not spent time with children, other cats or dogs so it is unknown hoe she will react to being around them. behavior: Kociatko has never bitten/scratched another person or animal. Kociatko has no behavior issues and has neevr been in a car. Kociatko enjoys being brushed and doesn’t mind being disturbed while resting/sleeping. Kociatko will struggle when being picked/held. It is unknown if Kociatko’s previous owner gave her a bath, trimmed her nails or placed her in a carrier so it is unknown how she will react to these events. For a new Family to Know: Kociatko is described as mellow, confident and quiet with a medium activity level. When at home Kociatko will stay in her favorite spot and lieks to play with stuffed toys. Kociatko was fed both wet and dry food. Kociatko is litter box traiend and used an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Kociatko would scratch on a scratching post made of cardboard. Intake Behavior: Kociatko allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression. Kociatko was very friendly during intake and enjoyed being pet and rubbed by staff.

As per previous owner, Kociatko is shy for a couple days around strangers and she plays gently with adults. She enjoys having her coat brushed and will struggle when picked up or held. Her owner describes her as mellow, confident and quiet with a medium activity level. She’s litter box trained and likes to play with stuffed toys. Reaction to assessor: Kociatko is vocal and relaxing in her litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Kociatko seems unsure at first and slowly approaches the front slowly. Reaction to cage door opening: Kociatko meows softly and reaches out with paws. Reaction to touch: Kociatko allows petting all over and lightly rubs up against the assessor. She gives head butts and continues to chirp during the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Kociatko has a tense body and looks around wary of her surroundings when held. Behavior Determination: Average Kociatko interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
