Her owner had glowing things to say about her but still discarded her at the ACC for their “personal problems”….KITTY LUV is only a year and a half old and she has so much life ahead of her if only someone will speak up for her tonight!! 04/05/16 12:32 Basic Info: Kitty Luv A1069418 is a 1 1/2yr old female tortie DSH feline who was found as a stray as a kitten over a year ago and is being surrendered due to personal problems. Kitty Luv was last seen by a veterinarian in 2014 and currently has no known health problems/injuries. Socialization: Around strangers Kitty Luv is shy for a few minutes. She’s lived with children ages 3-7yr old and was gentle, exuberant, relaxed/affectionate with them, a small female breed dog & also with adults. Kitty Luv hasn’t been around other cats nor has she bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: During car rides Kitty Luv will meow/cry at times. She isn’t bothered by the following: being brushed, being picked up/held or with being placed into a carrier. Kitty Luv hasn’t had her nails trimmed, been bathed or been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Kitty Luv is described as friendly, affectionate, very playful, confident, assertive, fearful (of loud noises) & talkative with a medium-high activity level. The owner likes how affectionate she is. Kitty Luv likes to climb and jump onto high places. When the owner is home Kitty Luv follows them around. She enjoys paper bags, ball, sting & wand toys, she’ll play with any other small household items or other small child’s toys and is an indoor only cat who sleeps around the home. Kitty Luv eats dry Friskies & wet Nine Lives 1-2x a day. She is hooded litter box trained with shredded paper as litter within due to her having two incidents of eating litter. Kitty Luv uses a a bed post as a scratching post. Intake Behavior: Kitty Luv had a low body posture and was attempting to hide but allowed all handling. Kitty Luv allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of including positioning her during her photo session, although she kept attempting to flee off of the table. Kitty Luv didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held & was placed into a carrier with ease.

Kitty’s former owner stated around strangers she is shy for a few minutes. Reaction to assessor: Kitty looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Kitty remains crouched position at the back of the cage, alert with eyes wide open, lip licking in place. Reaction to touch: Kitty accepts the stroke, but remains wary with her surroundings and stiffens up with eyes wandering. Placement determination: Experience Kitty Luv tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
