Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As previous owner, Around strangers Kitten is shy for a few days and plays gently with adults. Kitten has not been around children or dogs so it is unknown how she will react toward them. Kitten has lived with other cats who she was relaxed and affectionate toward. Reaction to assessor: Kitten does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Kitten does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Kitten remains motionless Reaction to touch: Kitten allows petting and attention with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Kitten is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Kitten was displaying timid behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
