SAFE 2/16/18 Owner Passed Away Leaving 15 & 17-Pound Big Boy Housemates! KILEY & SULLIVAN NEED YOU! Kiley is a male cream tabby DSH. Kiley is being surrendered along with his house mate Sullivan because their owner passed away.
Kiley 19935 – 7 yr. neutered orange tabby, 15 pounds: owner died:
Lying in back of kennel, body low and ears tilted. Avoids eye contact when spoken to. He leans away as the bear-claw reaches towards him and tolerates petting along his head and body while turning to watch the claw with wide eyes. Not interested in treats at the moment. Needs more time to adjust.

How is this cat around other cats?Kiley has lived with another cat as was said to be relaxed and affectionate with them. Kiley played gently with the cat.
How is this cat around dogs?Kiley has not lived with dogs.
Behavior NotesDuring car rides Kiley was quiet. Kiley allowed to be brushed and have his nails trimmed with no problem. Kiley isnt bothered when being picked up and held.
Bite history:No known bite history
For a New Family to KnowKiley was described as friendly confident assertive and affectionate. When around the house Kiley will follow you around. Kiley is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box wiht clumping litter. Kiley ate both wet and dry food. Kiley liked to sleep anywhere in the house.
Behavior Notes:During intake Kiley was quiet. Kiley allowed to be scanned and collared with no problem. When placing Kiley back into the kennel he began to hiss.

Oral Exam: Severe dental dz, tartar, roots exposed on upper k9s and upper R k9 is loose
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: Severe dental dz
Will need dental in the future
