KNOWN HISTORY: Kiki Marie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Was ok with PE but was not overtly friendly ENRICHMENT NOTES: 09/07/17 Lying in litter box with a low body. He shifts his weight as I reach towards him and tolerates petting along his head and body while flattening his ears and hiding his head behind the litter box edge. Needs more time to adjust. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage recently cleaned Reaction to assessor: Kiki Marie was curled up tight inside his litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Kiki Marie shrinks his body and avoids eye contact. Reaction to cage door opening: Kiki Marie remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Kiki Marie seems unsure and lowers his head when the assessor extends his hand out. He sniffs the assessor then leans in attention, allowing petting all over his body. Reaction to being picked up: Kiki Marie was a bit tense when picked up, but he remained calm and allowed all handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Sweet BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Kiki Marie interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
