***SAFE 09/18/16***Khloe is a 4 year old black and white domestic cat surrendered to the ACC do to no time. How can someone have NO TIME for this handsome boy?! He’s a shy guy but has a personality that comes out once he gets to know you. His former owner left glowing notes about Khloe of how well he behaved and liked his routine at home. The ACC has him scheduled to be destroyed tomorrow. This boy deserves a great home. Please considered applying to adopt or foster him tonight!

08/26/16 19:08 Khloe was surrendered due to landlord issues. He was reported to be a little shy around strangers, but when he warms up he will allow for petting and will play. He has lived with one other cat, his littermate, who he respected and played with gently. He has not lived with other animals. Khloe is quiet and doesn’t have any noteable behavior issues. He will ride quietly in a car. He will tolerate a bath and nail clipping. He enjoys being brushed and held. He is not difficult to get into a carrier. He was described as friendly, affectionate, mellow, and quiet. He likes to spend time relaxing in the same room as his owner. He has a low to medium activity level. He is used to both dry and wet food and uses a hooded litterbox. At the ACC, Khloe didnt want to come out of his carrier. He allowed counselor to pick him up and take him out of it for collaring, but kept trying to escape the table to hide. When the carrier was reopened, he immediately climbed into it.

He was reported by his former owner to be a little shy around strangers, but when he warms up he will allow for petting and will play. He has lived with one other cat, his littermate, who he respected and played with gently. He was described as friendly, affectionate, mellow, and quiet. Reaction to assessor: Khloe looked nervous, crouched position with head down when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Khloe remained on his cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open and attempting to hide under his blanket. Reaction to touch: Khloe was alert with his surroundings. While he eye wandered he slowly warmed up then head-butted the assessor’s hand and began to engage for more petting. Reaction to Being Picked up: He accepted a quick pickup and remained curled up with tail tucked then jumped back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Khloe interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
