Medical Summary 10/24/16 Check cat with large mass on face. Microchip scan neg. O: BARH. Friendly, social, allows all handling. ORAL: Large, firm, pink mass along left maxilla. Extends from rostral maxilla to below left eye, over nasal bone, and into oral cavity; and rostrally out of oral cavity. Small area of ulceration on exposed tissue with mild bleeding. left maxillary incisors visible and distorted by mass. Unable to fully assess oral cavity due to size/extent of mass, but right side unaffected and teeth appear WNL. Not painful. EENT: No oculonasal discharge. Mild nasal congestion left side due to mass. ABD/UG: Palpation WNL, female. MS: Amb x 4. No lameness. INTEG: No other masses noted. Full, clean haircoat. A: Mass – DDX: Congenital lesion, benign vs malignant neoplasia. Cat appears stable and comfortable P: Monitor appetite, comfort level while at BACC. If deteriorates, rec. EHR. Rec. placement – will need extensive workup and therapy with a veterinary specialist. Fair prognosis with appropriate therapy and depending on underlying condition.
