KENDRA – A1064372
Safe - 2-13-2016 Brooklyn
**SAFE 02/13/16** KENDRA is only 8 months old,yet finds herself at the ACC because the Finder assumed the worse and had dubbed this kitten “Feral”. Not an expert, just an ordinary person who doesn’t understand what it means to brand a cat with that title unnecessarily! The ACC add to the problem by saying she ” may” be pregnant! So now this kitten has to find someone with EXPERIENCE and NO children, who can see through all of that, the gem that she is! PLEASE, offer to FOSTER or ADOPT KENDRA! Be that one person who understands that what you see isn’t always what you get!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Kendra was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder reports she is fearful and is likely feral. She was timid during her initial medical exam; cowers, ears bend back, and may flee, but is non-aggressive. Reaction to Assessor: Kendra was low on the ground, hiding behind her litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Kendra looks at the assessor and blinks. Reaction to cage door opening: Kendra flinches from the noise and becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Kendra remains immobile and starts to breathe rapidly. She lowers her entire body and remains immobile when pet on her head and along her body. She flinches at times, but does not display further reaction. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Kendra tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
