Kel 8141 aka A1127097 – 13 week male orange tabby:
Cat came in from the Queens transport. Both eyes were closed, mucous discharge was around eyes. Cleaned both eyes out with water, then both eyes opened but extremely red and irritated. Called the on-call vet and aksed if there was anything else I should do – answer was erythromycin BID, gave 1 dose of doxycyclin (10 mg/kg) in case was URI as well as conjunctivitus. Did not notice any sneezing and although nose was crusty, there was no major discahrge. Vet asked if cat was eating and if not, recommended LRS SQ. Not interested in eating so gave 30ml LRS SQ.
Left Kel in main medical to be monitored for eating over night until a DVM could evaluate the cat in the morning.

Subjective: nervous, but allows all handling. Food eaten in cage. Was given a dose or erythromycin and doxycycline 9/29/17 during tech intake after consulting with on call DVM

Evidence of Trauma seen -no

EENT: OS- third eyelid raised, no d/c, no blepharospasm, ears clean, possibly very scant serous nasal d/c seen within nostrils
Oral Exam: deciduous dentition
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MI, both testicles palpable
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

erythromycin OU BID x10
