03/28/17 15:02 Basic Info Katie is a grey DSH adult feline that was originally a gift from a friend. However, the previous owner was an elderly woman and could no longer care for her so she brought her to us. She had Katie for three years and is said to not have any medical issues or injuries to her knowledge. She has not been seen by a veterinarian in two years. Socialization Around strangers, Katie is said to be friendly with strangers and brushes across their legs. She has not lived with children but when they have come around her, she hides in fear from them. She does hide at times but plays for a bit as well. She has not been around any other cats or dogs. She has not bitten a person or any other animal. Behavior Katie will hide if loud noises occur around her but other than that she is said to not have any behavioral issues. She sleeps when riding inside of a car. She isn’t bothered when she is given a bath or having her nails trimmed. She does not like to be picked up and held, will struggle in the process. She will not allow you to put her in a carrier but she will go in on her own. She has never been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know Katie is said to be a friendly, affectionate yet shy feline even though she opens up after a few minutes. Her activity level is said to be medium. Her favorite activities are to play and simply lounge around. At home, she tends to follow her owner around. She likes to play with balls and will entertain herself with them without her owner. She has been kept indoors only and sleeps in her cat bed. Katie is used to eating dry food, a cup and a half twice a day. She is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. She has scratched on drapes and a scratching post. The scratching post was made out of cardboard.
