***SAFE 08/11/17 *** 13 year old KASEY was dumped at the Brooklyn shelter due to owner’s “personal problems”. He will need some follow up vet care – he is hyper thyroid and a possible liver issue. 08/06/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/06/17 14:52 Owner stated that Kasey is a very mellow cat, due to his old age he lounges most of the day and only sometimes greets guests when they enter her home. He sometimes will get up and see who is there, rub his head against their leg and then go back to his spot. He has spent time with a small breed dog and they have coexisted well. Kasey is unbothered by the dogs presence and when he was younger they would play together. Kasey has lived with young children and was very tolerant of them petting him. He has no history of biting humand or other animals, and has no history of hissing or swatting and either as well. He has not lived or spent time with other cats so his behavior history with them is unknown to owner. The owner has never bathed, groomed, or clipped his back nails. He has eaten wet and dry food, and typically had good litterbox habits. Within the last few months he has increased accidents outside of the litterbox, possibly due to his older age. He uses an uncovered litterbox and has used a variety of litter previously. He is not a big toy lover and does not scratch anything, as his front paws are declawed.
