**SAFE 04/14/17 ** Found on a rooftop and already neutered, this frightened grey boy needs a patient, loving purrson to step up for him tonight! “A volunteer writes: Jupiter was extremely shy when I first met him, but I found out why through a poem he created. A poem by Jupiter: “Hi, my name is Jupiter but I’m as gray as the moon. I’m a little on the shy side and I’m a bit of a scaredy cat too. I used to be a wild cat, there was no human I ever knew, but now I’m at ACC looking for a home to move in to. Please be patient with me. I’m very quiet because to this life I am new. I am learning to adjust but I find comfort in soft humming, talking, and food. Also, don’t read my attitude as being rude. I really do hope to find a family that’s a good fit for me soon.” After we bonded over his poem, Jupiter was more relaxed and he allowed me to pet him, which I think was a little new for him. Jupiter is open to getting to know new people if you give him a chance, and I know he will make a wonderful addition to a loving experienced owner.” If you can open your heart and home for foster/adoption, please email the Help Desk right away—[email protected].

Reaction to cage door opening: Jupiter remains in place and becomes cautious with eyes dilated. Reaction to touch: Jupiter accepts the stroke, but shows no interest to the touch with eyes wandering and lip licking in place. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Motionless VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Skittish RECOMMENDATIONS: – Experienced, adult home only Jupiter tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home.
