She is said to be chatty, affectionate and loves attention! What a super kitty! Juniper now has the shelter cold and must exit asap! RESERVE THIS ADORABLE KITTY BY NOON!!

DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 6-8 months Microchip noted on Intake? negative History : stray Subjective: BAR, ~5% dehydrated Observed Behavior – very sweet. Easily handleable. Did well for all medical handling and procedures Evidence of Cruelty seen – no Evidence of Trauma seen – no Objective P = wnl R = eupneic BCS 5/9 EENT: mild purulent nasal d/c bilaterally, eyes are clear with small healing abrasion under left eye, ears are impacted with ear mite debris Oral Exam: clean adult dentition, no oral lesions noted PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: FI, no MGTs, no vulvar d/c MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: URI Dehydrated Ear mites Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC Cleaned ears Tresaderm AU BID x14d Doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID x10d LRS 20ml/kg SQ once Recheck hydration and appetite tomorrow +/- add more LRS SQ Recheck 5, 10 days Move to iso Prognosis: Good SURGERY: temporary waiver from surgery due to URI
Re-exam dehydration, ear mites, appetite History : stray intake 10/2. Had severe ear mites, dehydration, URI, and was not eating. Was started on tresaderm, doxycycline, and LRS Subjective: BARH. Eating well. Overall seems much improved since intake. No c/v/d. Sneezing. Objective BCS 5/9 EENT: mild purulent nasal d/c bilaterally, eyes are clear with small healing abrasion under left eye H/L: sneezing MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: URI Dehydrated-resolved Ear mites Decreased appetite-improved Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC Tresaderm AU BID Doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID Recheck 5, 10 days from diagnosis Move to iso Prognosis: Good

Behavior Assessment Date: 10/04/17 KNOWN HISTORY: Juniper was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on her behavior history or tendencies in a home environment. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – very sweet. Easily handle able. Did well for all medical handling and procedures Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Juniper meows and immediately approaches the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Juniper head-butts the cage door and continues to meow and solicit attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Juniper remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Juniper head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Juniper remains soft and continues to purr when held. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Social Sweet Affectionate POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: None BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: Beginner Behavior Asilomar H – Healthy BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Juniper interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
